    Town of Southbridge is seeking a qualified person to fill the vacancy of Treasurer/Collector.  The position performs administrative and professional work involving the receipt of money and the collection of all taxes due to the town; administers the receipt, recording, expenditure and custody of municipal funds; responsible for the borrowing and investment of funds; maintains all tax title possessions and accounts; oversees the municipal payroll function; supervises a staff of five; acts as Benefits Administrator for all town employees and performs all other related work as required.

    Bachelor’s degree in public administration, finance, business, government or related field; three to five years’ senior experience in business or financial management; experience in municipal cash management preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to become bonded.  A demonstrated knowledge of MGL Chapter 44 and 60 and applicable laws related to municipal collections and taxation is desirable.  A Certified Massachusetts Treasurer and Collector is preferred.  Knowledge of KVS and/or MUNIS a plus.

    Hiring salary range $86,012 - $99,664 per year.
